YouTube handoff
Open YouTube Studio, upload a video, and publish or schedule it. The product is not the upload; it is a channel someone can keep showing up for on purpose.
Who it is for
Someone who needs to open the business YouTube channel, upload a video, and publish or schedule it.
YouTube Studio is the desk where channel owners manage videos. Handoff means you can find Studio, upload a file, fill in the basics, and save or publish without the builder sitting there. Do not write login passwords on this page.
Steps
- Open studio.youtube.com and sign in with the Google account that owns (or can manage) the channel.
- Check the channel name at the top. If more than one channel is linked, switch to the business channel you need.
- Click Create, then Upload videos. Choose the video file from your computer.
- Add a clear title and a short description. Pick a thumbnail if you have one. Answer the audience question (made for kids or not).
- Click Next through the checks screens. On Visibility, choose Public, Unlisted, Private, or Schedule a date and time. Then click Publish, Save, or Schedule.
- To find an old video later, open Content in the left menu. Search by title, or scroll the list.
Button names move a little when YouTube redesigns Studio. Stay in the same places: Create, Upload, Content, and Visibility.
