TikTok handoff
Open the app, record or upload a short video, add a caption, and post. Start small, make it legible, and let the person posting decide what deserves attention.
Who it is for
Someone who needs to open the business TikTok account, make or upload a video, and post it.
Handoff means you can open the app, use the + button, add a caption, and Post without the builder sitting there. Do not write login passwords on this page.
Steps
- Open the TikTok app and sign in with the account that owns the business profile.
- Tap Profile (bottom right) and check the username. Make sure you are on the right account before you post.
- Tap the + button in the middle of the bottom bar.
- Either hold the red button to record, or tap Upload to pick a video (or photos) from your phone.
- On the edit screen, add text or sound if you want. Tap Next when you are ready.
- Write a short caption. Check that visibility is set how you want (Everyone for a public business post). Tap Post.
Icons move a little when TikTok updates the app. Stay in the same places: Profile, +, Upload or Record, Next, and Post.
