Meta / Facebook / Instagram handoff

Find the Page in Meta Business Suite, post on Facebook, and post or schedule on Instagram. One clear flow keeps the social work close to the people it serves and the account owner in control.

Who it is for

Someone who runs a Facebook Page and an Instagram account linked through Meta tools.

Meta is the company that owns Facebook and Instagram. Meta Business Suite is the desk where you manage the Page, post to Facebook and Instagram, and open the Inbox. Handoff means you can find that desk, publish (or schedule) a post, and reply without the builder sitting there. Do not write login passwords on this page.

Steps

  1. Open business.facebook.com (or the Meta Business Suite app) and sign in with the Facebook profile that has Page access.
  2. Check you are on the right Page. If more than one Page shows, pick the business Page you need.
  3. To post on Facebook, look for Create post (sometimes under Content or Home). Write the caption, add a photo if you have one, make sure Facebook is selected, then Publish (or Schedule if you are posting later).
  4. To post or schedule on Instagram from the same desk, open Create post again. In the account picker, turn on Instagram (your Instagram must already be linked as a business or creator account). Add the photo or video, write the caption, then Publish or Schedule.
  5. To see messages, open Inbox in the left menu. Open a conversation, type a reply, then send.
  6. If you land on facebook.com instead, open your Page, then look for a link into Meta Business Suite or Professional dashboard. The same jobs still matter: the right Page, Create post (Facebook and/or Instagram), and Inbox.

Menu labels move when Meta redesigns the desk. Stay in the same places: the Page picker, Create post, Instagram in the account list, and Inbox.
