Google Calendar handoff
Create an event and share a calendar so others can see the schedule. A useful system makes the next person faster, not more dependent or less informed.
Who it is for
Someone who needs to open Google Calendar, create an event, and share a calendar so others can see the schedule.
Handoff means you can do those jobs without the builder sitting there. Do not write the password on this page.
Steps
- Open calendar.google.com and sign in with the Google account that owns the calendar.
- To create an event, click Create (or click an empty time slot). Add a title, date, and time, then Save.
- Optional: add guests by email if they need an invite.
- To share a whole calendar, find it under My calendars on the left. Open the three dots, then Settings and sharing.
- Under Shared with, add a person by email and choose what they can see (details, or free/busy only). Send.
Menus move a little. Stay in the same places: Create, the event Save button, My calendars, and Settings and sharing.
