LinkedIn handoff
Edit profile basics and share a post. Plain steps for a student or small business that wants to show the work without handing its voice to a system.
Who it is for
Someone who needs to open LinkedIn, fix the basics on a profile (photo, headline, About), and share a simple post.
Handoff means you can do those jobs without the builder sitting there. Do not write the password on this page.
Steps
- Open linkedin.com (or the LinkedIn app) and sign in.
- Open your profile (your photo or Me, then View profile).
- Edit the basics: photo, headline, and About. Use the pencil icons. Keep the words plain and true.
- To share a post, go Home. Click Start a post. Type a short update. Add a photo if you have one. Click Post.
- Check who can see the post (Anyone or Connections) before you publish.
Labels move a little between web and app. Stay in the same places: profile, pencil edits, Start a post, and Post.
